“Super cool spot! Decor is retro, rock galore! Lots of cool vintage style posters, small tvs playing some clips, two old school tvs playing vhs films, pool table and analog photobooth. There's a discoball in the center that adds to the atmosphere. My first time coming here - I came for the live music because Pearl Charles was headlining the California tour with Carson McHone. Loved every minute of it! The sound was great, bartenders, and drinks were great! Fun place to spend a Friday night. Definitely coming back!”
“Friendly staff. They have live music so I'll definitely be coming back. They have a few beers for selection. Some domestic like Coors light and some from local breweries like from Standard deviant.”
“Fun and legendary! Old bar in the heart of the Mission. Cool vibes, interesting locals, great history and awesome live music. A must!”
“Don't think they had food? But really cool venue.”
Kilowatt started out in a San Francisco firehouse as a local hangout and music venue. It was a punk, rock and indie showcase and the original home of San Francisco's annual Noise Pop Festival.
Later the stage became a darts area, and we added televisions for local sports, pool tables and more. That's how the 'Watt found its way to being a neighborhood bar.
Now under new ownership, the music is on its way back. We've got weekly live music shows and DJ nights, tasty craft brews, an amazing assortment of liquor and your favorite neighborhood bartenders bringing the party back to the neighborhood.
